I think we all know the answer to that one.
Just like we all know who we'd rather have more of in America - angry, anti-corporate stone throwers or more Jeff Bezos/Bill Gates.

Malcontent little rock throwers never achieve the self awareness required to realize that they're basically a bunch of squabbling bushmen without the entrepreneurs that create the vision, jobs, and wealth required to fund their first world lifestyles.

This is apparently the part of the thread where people who received student loans, EIC credits, unemployment, business-related tax writeoffs, and various forms of government assistance bitch about Amazon's "subsidies".

Kinda like my Florida relatives being outraged over how the newspaper reported that the top 5 corporations in Florida paid ZERO taxes . . . blissfully skipping over the fact that their complaining-selves ALSO paid ZERO taxes.

Folks more than happy to help themselves to as much cake as they can gobble, but righteously indignant if Amazon gets cake too.

At least Amazon creates high paying jobs for their cake.

I just don't want businesses to run by raiding tax payers. Tax payers are fucked over by open borders and job offshoring treaties as it is. They can't really afford to pay for Amazon's labor and pick up their tax tab. Jeff Bezos can fuck himself.

Amazon didn't give itself subsidies.
Amazon didn't create the hostile tax environment that made offshoring jobs more fiscally sound than operating in America.

Seems like the anger should be directed at the organization responsible for making those decisions, not at the company that's trying to survive in a business environment created by an insatiable legislature.

Amazon is going to come and go, just like Wards, A&P, Compaq, TWA, Blockbuster, and Kodak . . . and nothing you're complaining about will change.

And when Amazon's replacement arises will you wise up and actually look at where the problems are coming from, or will you simply transfer your rage to the next successful business until it too crashes and burns?

How many times do you have to witness the cycle before realizing that the target of your ire isn't the source of your discontent?
