Yea, it's amazing to me that people don't see the practical effects of this.

Play all these gender fluid games in the civilian world where it doesn't matter. Tearing apart good order and discipline to make less than 1% of the population happy seems like a ridiculous mistake.

promotion points are rock bottom across the board. everyone is getting out. reenlistment bonuses are back even though there aren't any deployments going on. dozens of MOSes are on the star promotable list to promote specialists to sergeant without having been to a promotion board.

That makes sense. The whole feeling when I got out is that you were just waiting for one slip of the tongue on some subject to lose your career.

A lot of people don't understand that it's not like some regular job where you just hold your tongue easily. If you are living with the same group of guys 24/7 when in the field or deployed, stupid shit gets said eventually.

I read an article about bonuses coming back, it blew my mind. When I got out in 2014 they were telling people to go fuck themselves and be happy they have a job. Funny how the pendulum swings.

I did a DEC statement to get out and everyone thought I was crazy to leave.
