Get back to me when the Superbowl pre-game show isn't a week long and I can get tickets on the 50-yard line for 20 bucks.

That is a good observation. The NFL for 20 years has operated on the hype machine and with this story and some others the backlash has occurred. You see ever since the OJ case and drama the NFL thought "wait everybody and thier mom is paying attention to this, this is great for us."GrumpyCatFace wrote:We all saw the same MSM coverage, yep. Glad to know you boys are back on the mainstream drip.Okeefenokee wrote:This.clubgop wrote:
Yeah so? That happened before last season, they are hemorrhaging viewers and empty seats this fucking year. And what is everyone talking about? Look at the title of this thread? Anything about the catch rule? Nope. It's the culture it's always the culture.
Not a person here believes that you believe it's because of gambling and rule changes. We all saw the same thing. We all know what happened.
I suspect the anthem thing was amped up to 11, trying to generate some more hype for the NFL itself, given their already-plummeting numbers.
And for 20 years that worked, worked well, but bubble bitches like you can't figure out when they popped cause the 2016 election wasn't enough for you to notice that people didn't want that bullshit anymore. So yes, you and the NFL because they have the same political establishment on the payroll thought by operating the way they always have that things would just get back to normal. Besides what do Russians know about American football anyway? But no because people like you are so obstinately stupid you can't recognize the paradigm shift until your head goes through the windshield. As long as the NFL is involved in some sort of ancillary way we can create this drama and get some PR. Our rosters are beginning to look like a daily police blotter do we downplay and sweep it under the rug like usual, No that is courtroom drama play that up, we get free publicity out of it and if we suspend them we look like goddamn hero's. Can we have referee quickly conference to talk out a controversial call or play. Fuck no lets get subatomic camera angles with specific legal standards and give the refs mics and explain the rules and procedures like Toobin does on CNN, so we can litigate every play for years to come. And politics, do we provide an escape and set day for relaxation and recharge. No! Be in thier face every day of the goddamn week and if people are talking about it we want to be in on it too. Race, politics, this controversy that situation we want a taste of that too. We don't want to be America's past time, we want to be America's homepage, the Alpha and Omega of all things."

Yes, $20.00 Super Bowl tickets and also a good halftime show that isn't just two or four random bands being put together by a corporation or a few? And I don't have to hear about how many companies didn't spend millions for a 45 second ad?GrumpyCatFace wrote:OMG TIMBERLAKE!!!!!Kath wrote:Get back to me when the Superbowl pre-game show isn't a week long and I can get tickets on the 50-yard line for 20 bucks.

Wait, what? You run a fantasy football league and don't watch the Superbowl. Color me skeptic on that.clubgop wrote:You love it, you want every single part of it, you totally whore out for it. I don't give a shit about the halftime show. Or the commercials. You want cheap Super Bowl tickets because you think you'll think you'll get your hand on them? One dude in S. Korea who never leaves his computer will buy a whole stadium full of tickets, turn around on stubhub and sell them for the real price. The market always wins out, your bernie bro teen is making you silly.Kath wrote:Wait, what? You run a fantasy football league and don't watch the Superbowl. You are tied for 4th place and the two tied for 6th are 1 game behind. One slip they are deep in your ass. PF is the tiebreaker and there you are good, not as good as me mind you, but ok. You are lucky that the tiebreaker isn't point differential or anything to do with PA because there as you are in life you are a 6'2" well absorbent, sphylitic cum soaked rag.GrumpyCatFace wrote:
Yeah, third place is a precarious situation. Especially when I just stomped #2.
