And the other side is hitting back, basically calling Trump a racist/rapist on the regular.

There is no mutual respect any more. It's go for the throat, every day. Throw everything at the wall, get your opposition locked up in jail, won't be able to run then will they? People are attacking candidate's kids on the regular as well, whereas in the past that used to be off-limits.

It started this week? No. You can't have your party chanting "lock her up" and say it started last week.

In spite of all the rhetoric from both sides, its kind of interesting that you rarely see an elected official go to jail. When they do, it is short, and they get pardoned. A lot of Nixon's guys went to jail in the 70's, but you do not see that very much today, despite how virulent the talk is. Kind of interesting.

The judge that sentenced Count Dankula specifically stated that context didn't matter. The sentence was deemed so offensive that even when it was apparent that it was used as an example of the worst possible thing to say as a part of a joke it was considered a crime.
