Every single thread you participated in in recent months has been made about you. You cut other people down to assuage you own ego and showcase how virtuous you think you are. The actual thread topic gets torched in the process.
NOBODY GIVES A SHIT ABOUT HOW VIRTUOUS YOU THINK YOU ARE.
Can you process that? Maybe we can discuss the actual fucking topic for a change?
Still talking about me, eh?
No autographs, son. No autographs.

For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

I figure someone should probably point that out to you, since you have zero self awareness.
But do continue.
Bullshit.

Addiction to taking selfies affects women more than men,
Recently, the American Psychiatric Association actually confirmed that taking selfies is a mental disorder, going as far as to term the condition “selfitis”. The APA has defines it as: “the obsessive compulsive desire to take photos of one’s self and post them on social media as a way to make up for the lack of self-esteem and to fill a gap in intimacy”, and has categorized it into three levels: borderline, acute, and chronic. https://www.lifehack.org/articles/commu ... order.html

The monks and the fur traders had other monks and fur traders.
They sat every night by the fire with their comrades.
They sang songs or hymns.
They ate together, they were part of a community.
This is not the modern world.
I'm with Kath in that there is not much to be done about this other than waking up to the fact that this is an issue and seeing if we can commit to reinvesting in real world, not just digital, communities.
Other wise the blight of depression, psychopharm, weed consumption, obesity and bla bla bla... will continue unabated...
This is the opposite of claiming victimhood.
It's identifying a problem and calling it out... rather than denying it with a "suck it up whiners" mantra.
