How do you explain it to someone who is convinced AGW is just a Communist plot to separate them from their hard earned cash and who refuses to even look at the data?
Well, as I’ve said before, it doesn’t really matter. It’s happening no matter what, and we’ll be lookin at a big pile of dead bodies before anyone really starts to care. Carpe Diem.
SJWs are a natural consequence of corporatism.

Well that's a nice open minded way to start a debate.
I'll decline thanks, I've got some blood to squeeze out of a stone.
Years ago on DCF there were very, very long debates about AGW 'Sceince', and multiples debates over years. The end result is the AGW 'settled Sceince' is anything but settled, there is a lot of corruption with the AGW Agenda.

When this subject is approached the first indication that there is a problem is that the AGW crowd bashes any skeptics. The second thing is, AGW is at best a Sceintific Theory. Yeah, go look at the sceintific process. AGW Cronies want us to change all human behavior on their theory. They can call me back when it's a proven Sceintific Law.

Not to mention the forecasting modeling going on. Change one variable and the whole model changes. It is almost like these people claim to be psychics too.

That surprise close call asteroid is fascinating and kind an Oh Shit. Sooner or later, modern man is going to deal with an impact.

To me too. A reminder that we don't control nearly as much as we have pretended. Today is a good day.

Most likely it will be more like dealing with another big tsunami like the one in 2004.

That we're in the midst of unusual climate change?

That we have high levels of co2 in the atmosphere, much higher than the last 400,000 years?

That those extreme levels have been growing exponentially since industrialization?

That co2 causes climate change?

That man's activity has caused the bulk of the increase in co2 in the last hundred years?

That if we produce less co2 it will decrease the climate change?

Perhaps it would be useful to ask what's the minimal evidence that would convince you that man made climate change is more likely than not? For example, is circumstantial evidence valid in your eyes? If your dog was playing in the mud, and your kitchen door was left open, and later you find paw prints on your kitchen floor, would you not consider that proof that your dog created the paw prints in the absence of other evidence?
Don't forget that Climate Change is fueling fires in the West, fewer major snow falls (on an average scale), and also major droughts as well.

A few years ago NASA was talking about this. Since they got their budget cut this is probably not going to happen:
