Re: Meanwhile in Iraq & Syria
NATO was a charming idea, but lets scrap the whole thing and make a more exclusive club that Includes the United States and several Western European Countries. Rule number one for new NATO membership: No pre-existing conflicts (including civil wars). That would get rid of Turkey and a lot of the Eastern European Trash. I would also say that failure to pony up the required amount of GDP spending (which should be raised or doubled) will result in immediate expulsion. No more freeloaders. Sorry Europe, you can't bitch about the US and act superior while hiding behind the NATO shield, and not even make minimum payments.

The only NATO members that I have zero problems with are Canada and the UK. France and Germany can stay I guess, as well as Italy and Benelux. To everyone else: FUCK OFF. No American should even have to endure a papercut protecting your worthless freeloading asses. You are shit and always have been! Please make political decisions under the assumption that not a single American soldiers will spill blood for you.TheReal_ND wrote:Poland

Australia has also been a true friend to the US. They have always had our back, including during some of our more questionable conflicts such as Vietnam and Iraq II. A professor told me in college that the VC feared the Australian soldiers the most because they knew about fighting in the bush. America should scrap most of its security guarantees, but Australia and a few other Anglo countries should absolutely be protected and allied with.

Poland's expansion into NATO was a direct provocation of Russia btw. One of the unwritten terms of tearing down the berlin wall and post Soviet Russian cooperation with the West was no further expansion of NATO. Welp, we let in a bunch of Eastern European countries in Russia's backyard, and we are hoping that Russia doesn't act like any other regional power would act if a rival gave security guarantees to all their neighbors. You take a particular interest in European and German history from the 30s-40s. Do you remember how that conflict started? Something to do with Poland?TheReal_ND wrote:Meanwhile Poland pays more than their share, have dragged us into zero wars and oppose European immigration policies vehemently.

I wish them all the best, but Poland is certainly not worth going to war over imo.

If we aren't going to war with Russia, and Russia won't attack Poland, we don't need NATO. I'm fine with getting rid of it, like I said. Its a Cold War artifact. I don't really see Eastern Europe has to offer the US to make it worth our while to protect them. Quite honestly, I would rather the US allied with Russia. We could tear shit up. Historically, that never happens, but it is a neat idea. It would probably be better than the current situation.TheReal_ND wrote:Russia won't attack Poland and we aren't going to war with them.
