Not that I'm a big money in politics guy, but I don't just automatically vote for whoever spends more money
Given that the candidates have enough money to get their message out there, after that I think the money is just wasted.

Russians keep pursuing contacts with Papadopoulos

as this is going on, Steele is meeting with and paying Russian agents for this info

Russian agents had a monetary motive to keep contacting Papadopoulos to get more info for Steele
Hillary, Obama and the DNC were literally paying Russian agents to entrap Trump's campaign, and they still didn't fall for it.

WTF is wrong with you?
This.

Blaming muh Russians for losing is nothing more than continued failure to recognize why you lost.

Fuckers think they can gaslight the nation into thinking decades of hillary being disgusting was a Russian plot. Like Ivan planted that server in her bathroom.

I understand that openly partisan support of Trump was a gamble in the face of intense media scrutiny and the constant derision of the late night talk show circuit. A gamble that beat the house.
Shit, the people in my life still think I am some sort of fucking genius politico for predicting, against the certainty of received wisdom from the MSM, that Trump could win, just because I knew it was possible to be both a Trump supporter and not an idiot.
But the resistance to the special council's investigation really makes me think there is a sunk cost fallacy at play here. Trump supporters might be made to look foolish in the unlikely event anything really damning comes up, so they are throwing good money after bad.
It is operating everywhere right now. It is the same reason liberals can't just admit that a Trump presidency wasn't the immediate end of the godamn world. Hence all the breathless articles about North Korea, or how OMG, there are Neo Nazis and Russians on Facebook. They can't stand that the economy didn't collapse on inauguration day.
Still, incuriosity over potential conflicts of interest regarding Russia, or their methods of manipulation, seems like silly obfuscation.
It is likely the worst actual crime committed by anyone involved with Trump is obstruction, which is why, instead of getting pissy and defensive, they should have just joined in a truly non-partisan investigation into Russian methods. That would have made shining a light on DNC roaches in Washington so much more credible.
Surprisingly though, I was not consulted by the Trump camp on their best options here.
HAIL!

Her needs America so they won't just take his shit away like in some pussy non gun totting countries can happen.

You and the Russians, sitting in a row boat, talking about the time the Trump campaign never returned your calls.

Shit, with all the money Vlad paid me to ingratiate myself to Trump and undermine democracy, my failure to do so makes me worried I'm slated for a disappearing.

How do you drain the swamp? Increase the size of government, of course. No duh! #toomuchwinning

Trump’s top economist offers solution to unemployment: More government jobs
“We’ve not done a good job as a society at thinking about how do we take people who have become discouraged and reconnect them,” Hassett said in the latest edition of the “POLITICO Money” podcast. “And it’s such an urgent problem that government programs that directly hire people might be part of the solution.”

Rather put them to work than have them sit on their asses and get a paycheck for doing nothing all day. At least if they get paid for doing something they may actually contribute to the market more than buying their monthly quota of Cheetos when their checks come monthly.
