Houston is actually a pretty good sports town.
Prolly the best big ass city in the Union, tbh. I always have had a feeling of freedom and risk-acceptance down there.

One of my best friends ever lived there for years (Austin now, ugh), and I always visited in the fall or winter except for one trip in like July. Hotter than a bitch in heat down there.

Brutal finish, tough one. I was hoping to see another classic STL-LA series and was looking forward to Dodger Stadium.
But, I'm glad the birds have home field against the federal city fucksticks. :goteam: :drunk:

i'm handling the loss pretty well, better to lose now than get crushed by the AL team in the world series again. as easy as it is to blame roberts, the failure falls on the at-bats. our big signing in the offseason went 0-13 with 11 strikeouts in the postseason. not gonna be good enough to get it done
rooting for whoever the NL team is

Yeah Dodgers still have a lot going for it the window on them is closing but that is only un comparison to the other young teams. Kershaw is no longer that workhorse anymore. He is the fancy sportscar you keep undercover in the garage except for one day a week and it better not be raining.pineapplemike wrote: ↑Thu Oct 10, 2019 9:11 ami'm handling the loss pretty well, better to lose now than get crushed by the AL team in the world series again. as easy as it is to blame roberts, the failure falls on the at-bats. our big signing in the offseason went 0-13 with 11 strikeouts in the postseason. not gonna be good enough to get it done

Fife what the hell was that? You guys shot your wad on the Braves series? Your BAC right now or your teams ERA, which is higher? Now you know what my division was like all year.
