That shit's crazy.DBTrek wrote:I should point out that at least one of the emails came from management three levels up the chain. So, not my manager (low-level manager in charge of contractors), or her manager (the manager of other MS managers), but the next manager (the manager of a significantly large group within MS).
So . .. this isn't just a bunch of college kids making mistakes at their first job, which would be understandable. These are people who have been in the workforce for decades and have achieved positions of significant power.
(Kazmyr's comment on HR reminded me that I should probably give some details. It's not low-level employee squabbling with low-level employee here, it's top-down "culture")

This opposition to the travel ban is probably the stupidist thing you people have done thus far, which is saying quite a lot.
All these years we were talking about how another 9-11 is going to spell the end of our constitutional rights (what remains of them). I really wonder if, in fact, it will spell the end of the left.
See, I am starting to realize that's where you are wrong. The American people are going to crush this Marxist/globalist duo if another 9-11 occurs because of their policies. Most Americans, despite your bitchy comments, are not stupid. You won't be able to hide the fact that this very opposition to trying to keep Muslim terrorists out of our nation is what led to the attacks. You and your kind will be denied ground in America. You will lose all political clout outside of the cities (what's left of it outside of the cities, that is).
I have a feeling the next attack is not going to go as planned for the deep state and it's certainly not going to be a good thing for the left.

Well, let's play out your little scenario then. Another 9/11 happens, and everybody miraculously agrees with you that it's a result of MY views on immigration. So you hang me from the lamppost, and eradicate the DNC, Antifa, and anything else perceived as "Left".
Now you have a single allowed viewpoint in America. Everybody is Right, or pretending to be. What happens next?
People start competing to be the Best Right. The Most Correct. Because it gains them power. The leaders can only ever be further to the right, trying to climb the ladder toward Caesar.
How long does that system last in your mind? How do you see life under that system? Because, I can tell you, it looks a whole lot like North Korea.

You dispute it's your views on immigration? You were just lambasting Trump's travel ban from nations on Obama's terror list. What do you think is going to happen when people from those nations perpetrate a major terror attack in this country?
Your entire political world is going to collapse. You will have done it to yourselves.
The entire democratic party implosion has been self-inflicted.
That the "right" will itself fracture into competing parties is a given.
Honestly, I don't even give a shit about the future political parties. My problem is with the democratic party and its Marxism / globalism. We have to eradicate those two things from both parties, but unfortunately for you, that probably means end times for the democratic party.

Nah, doesn't have to be North Korea, there are many other stable Rightist dictatorial models which are comparatively benign, could be more like Falangist Spain, or even Singapore.GrumpyCatFace wrote: How long does that system last in your mind? Russia, Colombia, even Japan quite frankly, which is not really a democracy.

Well, now that we've ignored everything beyond the Singularity then, and resorted to a feeble ad-hominem..Speaker to Animals wrote:You dispute it's your views on immigration? The only way that MY ENTIRE POLITICAL WORLD collapses, is if Americans really are as pussified as you're afraid of, and give in completely to panic and fear upon some idiot in a robe achieving explosives technology.
If that's the case, then perhaps we have some serious, fundamental problems here, that have nothing to do with immigration or terrorism?

I grow tired of explaining what ad hominem actually means. One could argue that I engaged in a straw man (sort of) by assuming your political world is pretty much synonymous with cultural Marxism and globalism, but I would reply that this is pretty much the case based on all available evidence here.
