Intergenerataional hate is rather ambiguous.Martin Hash wrote:Intergenerational hate is so passé.
Antegenerational hate... yep, I'm with you on that.
Postgenerational hate is where we should be spewing the vitriol. You Keynesians and Fed-lovers seem especially set up for that. Let the hate flow.

During and right before, but we never heard the term silent generation until fairly recently. They (and my in-laws, greatest generation) divide up the generations by those who remember the war and those who don't. Korea and Vietnam were boomer, but according to what I'm reading here you'd consider the Korean veterans to be silent generation.Fife wrote:What do you think "boomers" was originally coined to mean? That's common, to have two generations of boomers.
The actual baby boom started before the war ended according to my older relatives. People often got married before they were shipped out.

The Boomer generation is from 1945 to the 1964 and since there were actually jobs, one could get married, have children, and buy/rent a real house before you were 95.Fife wrote:What do you think "boomers" was originally coined to mean? So 1943 to the 1964? That makes sense.MilSpecs wrote:During and right before, but we never heard the term silent generation until fairly recently. If this doesn't make it onto ''Martin's quotes'' there is no justice in the world.TheReal_ND wrote:I was born whenever the fuck I wanted to be borne.

I'll have to ask my MIL when her brothers shipped out. I'm told most of the neighborhood enlisted around the same time and there were a lot of marriages.jbird4049 wrote: So 1943 to the 1964? That makes sense.
