As with all politicians, it's like saying Justin Trudeau is a globalist, when in fact Canada says one thing and then does completely the opposite. We talk a big game about being open to the world, until they actually show up to do business, at which point we slam to door in their faces to prop up entrenched interests in swing ridings in Quebec, who knew?
That's not a bad idea, actually.
Trump and Trudeau are two peas in the same populist pod, they both talk a big game about making deals, but when the rubber meets the road, they are as enslaved to supply management entrenched interests as every other politician is.

New boss, same as the old boss, say one thing internationally, then do the opposite to buy swing votes come the election.

"Yo Slim, you gonna let him get away that? He tried to play you, you can't let him skate with that, man I hate this crap."

What are they going to do though, turn around and vote Democrat, fat chance.

Well, populism is contradictory, the masses want what they want when they want it, they want all the benefits of trade, while at the same time they want to be walled off from competition, and they thus render themselves irrelevant in the end, the populist politicians give them their chooch to soothe them, but then leave them in the corner and write the deals without their contradictory input, and it all ends up in the mushy middle somewhere, some trade, but not too much, some competition, but not too much, which, big whoop, nothing to get too excited about either way.

You can't please everybody all the time, so you just take a Selfie and say #SunnyWays and defy them to vote for the other team, which, most of them wont, because the other team is Literally HitlerStalin or whatever.

"You know what Tommy, that's what it is, you're sitting, eating shit all day long, day after day, year after year"
Bowl of shit after bowl of shit, the special interests have you by the balls, and you have to eat it, whether you're the Mayor, Governor, POTUS, same-same, it's all in the game.
The higher you climb in politics, the more bowls of shit that you have to eat, that's just the way she goes.

Nothing to get too excited about? This is pluralism and democracy in action, forging compromise, and arriving at a constantly fluctuating balancing act.

It is everything to get excited about!

Its just sort of hard to meme "some trade, but not too much, some competition, but not too much" so the wisdom of the position is overlooked.
HAIL!

Her needs America so they won't just take his shit away like in some pussy non gun totting countries can happen.

It's almost as if the globalists are already busy creating a lost cause myth to explain why they failed and why the majority of western electorates are rejecting their failed ideas.

The globalists are winning, and you're in denial about it. The electorate isn't rejecting their ideas, it's embracing them. Being slightly less globalist than the alternative isn't anti-globalist.

Well it's nothing to get too excited about in a business sense, because the mushy middle is moribund, so yes, the sky is not going to fall, but at the same time, no, we're not going to become much more productive and efficient neither.

The purpose of Parliamentary Supremacy is to ensure a peaceful transfer of power, but that comes at the expense of getting anything significant done in the process, so actually the opposite of exciting, not saying it's a bad thing, as exciting is of course a double edged sword, careful what you wish for.

Yeah, the massive increases in global wealth and decreases in global violence have been a total failure.
