Interesting... looks like China decided to fold on NK, rather than face a trade war with the US. Bigger money at play in US v China, but security benefits in China v NK.
From that perspective, is this a bigger win than facing down China over IP? Or are we better off letting that go, and China tamping down fat boy?
If this holds true, Trump just got a Yuge win, he did something that no other president has been able to do... put the screws to China and force them to put the screws to NK...
Trump right now has a lot more cache than Obama did dealing with Iran... and that part right now with the IP isn't over, the reason this happened was because of the deals originally made by the Democrats and other party members. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.
Right, it does look like a yuge win. But, was it more important to fight China on IP? That clearly scared the shit out of them, that we might start enforcing our patents on them...
What if China was intentionally letting NK off the leash to scare us into dropping the IP issue? In that case, we just got played like a fiddle. Now, how does Trump come back to the IP/trade issue that he ran on? Does China find a subtle way to threaten letting NK back to yipping at us?

He never said he was going to let the IP issue go. I have a feeling China is hoping that if they give Trump this carrot he won't be as harsh going after the IP issue. We will see if he is going to take the bait or not. So far China has taken Trump's carrot... lets see how far they take it though.

Well, North Korea blinked. Won't go further with the missile test at Guam. And now the North Korea issue will again fade to the background until the next "crisis" when people fear war is imminent...
North Korea leader Kim Jong Un has finished reviewing a plan to fire four missiles off Guam, and has opted to wait to see what the "foolish Yankees" do next.
The comments, published in state media Tuesday, came hours after US Secretary of Defense James Mattis warned that if North Korea fired on US territory it would be "game on."
Speaking at the Pentagon Monday, Mattis told reporters, "you don't shoot at people in this world unless you want to bear the consequences."
Same pattern again and again...

Yep, China got what they wanted. Their tech-thievery is safe.
Trump: "We may be more favorable in trade discussions"
China: "Fuck ya, dumbass. Got your economy by the curlys"

The important thing is, Trump reversed his $340 million cut to the Missile Defense Agency budget and now says he will increase the budget by "billions".

The defense stocks are up, LMT, NOC, and RTN all just hit record highs since the NK "missile crisis".

Trump was defying congress on the MDA budget, congress wanted their defense pork, then all of a sudden the media starts focusing on North Korea 24-7, next thing you know, congress gets what they want; kawinky dink? I think not.
Congress gets on the horn to the MSM "somebody needs to be taking about this threat from North Korea!" MSM; "Coming right up"
LMT, NOC, and RTN shareholders approve.

There is a time for good men to do bad things.
For fuck sake, 1984 is NOT an instruction manual!
