Likely he is asking the people for the President of the European Council, which is Donald Tusk. Which is a position that changes every +2 years. So it would be a question like asking Americans who is the President of the Senate in the US is.

Agree he framed the question poorly. My answer would be Jean Claude Juncker, since he's leading the executive branch of the EU political system.

I don't expect people to know EVERY "president" in the EU, but people really should be expected to know Jean Claude Juncker, and Donald Tusk. Especially Jean Claude Juncker, as he's the real "President" of the EU.

The EU parliament, and the council of the EU? Not important. Donald Tusk is more like Jens Stoltenberg in his role as Secretary General of NATO. People should know it, but it's also not the most important role.

Everyone, EU proponent, and opponent alike should know about Jean Claude Juncker though.

Anyway I don't like this kind of biased reporting to show how ignorant/stupid/racist/whatever people in some demonstration are...that the reporters is basically against. Don't care if it's pro- or anti-Brexit, Trump-supporters or Trump-protesters. It's simply degrading: yes, in a big crowd there is always the one uninformed the one who's a freak and so on. The simple question "Why are you demonstrating?" will do, if then the people show their ignorance, then they show their ignorance.
