He forgot that his job was to shut up and play football. He cost his employers money. I don't blame them for blackballing him.Okeefenokee wrote:It's like QB take-a-knee saying all the racial shit he was protesting is fixed now, so he'll stand for the flag now.TheReal_ND wrote:I thought we were all out of a job eight years ago. lol, still unemployed.
The NFL has effectively blackballed Colin Kaepernick

If you go into their field office and tell them you're working for ISIS, they'll let you carry a loaded pistol in the baggage terminal of an airport of your choice. It's fucking weird.TheReal_ND wrote:I'm fairly certain finding yourself on such lists fast tracks your passport and firearms purchase wait times.

I don't remember seeing him there, but I mainly hung out in current events.TheReal_ND wrote:He's from DCF of the same name.

Well techinacally the ammo has to be stored in the store bought carton locked in the same case as the pistol, but yes, telling them you work for ISIS doesn't raise any flags. Good to go.

If GCF is still not safely locked away in Gitmo, they probably are not even bothering.

How much did Mother Theresa accomplish on the global scale, other than by raising awareness?Okeefenokee wrote:Excuses. Why? Perhaps I have a little bit of humanity left in me, that hasn't been completely subjugated by the corporate machinery and corruption around me.
Remember when Mother Teresa hung out on the couch because one person couldn't make a dent in it, so why bother?
I'm not inclined to personally go kill ISIS either, but we can damn sure vote and rant about it.

Re: Europe Boring Until it's Not
I love the irony of Obama's "elections have consequences" statement. Because too many folks thought their values should be everyone's values without actually convincing a significant majority, we got an election result with consequences. There is majority support for Immigration but not Illegal Immigration. There is majority support for anti-discrimination but not for preferences. There is majority support for environmental action but not for subjugation of our nation's interests to a World-Committee-On-What's-Best-For-Everyone-Because-Climate.
I can be sympathetic to Grump's feelings of guilt (though I don't have them) until he thinks I should do what he says because it will make him feel better. However, I'll have to go along if 60% or so of people decide Grump is right.

If people like him win the day, they won't be in charge for long.
