So, you agree with Trump, then? Puerto Rico wasn't a real catastrophe and Puerto Ricans should feel lucky? Wow. Just wow.

Did I say that? You are using emotion to argue a point... something I was just giving an example of not to do when trying to win an argument/debate.

My original point was that Trump is an idiot who can't use facts. You disagreed with me, so I'm trying to figure out where you think I'm wrong. I made four basic points. Which one is wrong?

I disagreed with your facts and how you got to them. I pointed out how your views on Katrina were off a bit.

As for your personal views of Trump, it shouldn't be amazing, he's hated by those in the left and media.

I summarized. Really? You're going to tell me that Katrina wasn't a flood event for NO? I didn't write a dissertation. It was one sentence.

lol

I forgot this echo chamber was a no-criticisms-of-Trump allowed zone.

I have no issue criticizing Trump, as long as you have facts to back it up. Opinions don't fly with me and you damn well know why.

I keep asking which of my four points was not a fact and you keep blathering on about how all I do is offer opinions without telling me which of my four points is an opinion and not a fact.

Here, let me help . Go through each of below and mark true or false. We can discuss which you believe to be false.

. Thousands died in Katrina due to FLOODING not wind. Surge was 30 feet high then, 4 feet high in PR
2. PR was a wind event, and the count of those dead isn’t nearly complete
3. Maria was also a REAL CATASTROPHE because almost everyone on the island lost their homes/work/car/family or more
4. PR did not “throw off the budget”. MARIA did.

As for the rest, PR should have been more prepared, they live on a fucking island, how do you not prepare for something like a worst case scenario? You don't live somewhere and expect someone to bail you out. I don't expect someone to shovel my driveway every time I get snowed in. I don't expect someone to pay my taxes, pay my rent, etc... I take care of everything because I am resilient and independent... I only ask for help if I get over my head and get into a situation I can't handle.

Also, let's also be honest here, there was plenty of help already going to PR, people just ignored it because it wasn't being dolled out fast enough. Can't shove 10 tons of food at someone when they haven't removed the first 10 we sent to them already. Logistics is faulty, and PR is at fault for that, the US has helped by sending military, but that was after we realized how much of a CF that PR really was... and how ill-prepared it was to deal with something like this.

WTF does that have to do with ANYTHING I said? Seriously. You're using the baffle-em-with-bullshit tactic, here. I mentioned nothing about preparedness.

So, to be clear, you agree with Trump that Maria's damage to Puerto Rico is not a catastrophe?

Also, you DO understand that no matter how much they prepared, their ENTIRE ISLAND was destroyed. You get that, right? And, to be clear on your opinion, we shouldn't have sent help to Texas or Florida, either?

Kath I hear you 100%. He said some stupid shit. Now what do we do?
