Would be funny if Trump would give the same speech for his base at a rally.

The "What the hell..." faces would be fun to see. At least in part of the UN speech

There was a little in there for everyone. Which kind of makes it a great speech, some mass appeal. If you lean toward Wilsonian Progressivism you heard some stuff you support. If you hate commies, you heard that. If you wanted to hear about independent nations looking out for their best interest, you heard that.

So the listener kind of gets to pick and choose how they want to take it and what to focus on. I wouldn't worry about Trumps base, it's not really going anywhere. There are some boundaries to that; Amnesty and a Wall are the 2 primary. Another unprovoked war would be in there too.

The kind of people that are "the base" for Trump will not be swayed whatsoever by his failure to do anything. The blame will go to Democrats, 'latte-sipping libruls', arabs, and anyone else that Faux Noise mounts a syphilitic rant over. He's assured their vote, no matter what happens, because "But Hillary" is still the rallying cry of the nation.

It's not talked about, but Unprovoked War is a line in the sand for Trumpsters. The troop increase in A'Stan was not well received.

My eyes have really been opened on the American Intel Community with their reaction to the Trump Election. It has made me re-evaluate how I look at them. In the end I have almost no trust for them and consider anything they come up as suspicious. For instance this week I saw reports from a 'reliable' defector that North Koreans feed babies to dogs and make the mothers watch or some shit. Sounds a hell of a lot like the reports out of Kuwait and the Republican Guard 'human rights violations' we heard about during Desert Shield.

Trump's base is locked in at the moment, don't project your own political views on a populace that does not share them. The base certainly isn't going to leave him if he makes a deal on DACA with the Democrats to get his wall, let alone because he fires some missiles into Syria as fireworks display. Wishful thinking is clouding a lot of Trump analysis around here.
