Earlier today, The People's Convoy made a couple of loops around the DC Beltway. There were reports of violence against Convoy members including objects tossed off bridges. I have no proof of this. Other reports of people giving middle finger and driving erratically apparently to cut off drivers to make an accident. I have no proof of this. Did not witness this. And have so far not seen video of any of this.

Some drivers say police today appeared unfriendly and police were glaring or "staring them down."

Anyone who has spent much time in DC realizes something is badly wrong with this place.

The People’s Convoy Takes Off for Fresh Beltway Loops as Organizer Warns of Interference

The convoy, which is staying in Hagerstown, plans to continue to circle the Beltway until their demands are met.

The Beltway loops for 64 miles around Washington and primarily runs through Maryland and Virginia. Organizers are encouraging participants to drive at the speed limit, which is 55 miles per hour.

“We don’t want to break the law. We’re going 55,” said Brase, a truck driver from Ohio. “We’re out here to make a statement.”

This is funny, as everyone knows around these metro areas there the speed limits are largely ignored.

DC Beltway Becomes a Parking Lot as People’s Convoy Circles Washington For Second Day in a Row

As the protesting vehicles lap the 64-mile highway surrounding Washington D.C., traffic has been forced to slow significantly, and congressional staff has been instructed to either work from home or get a hotel room.

In response to the presence of the convoy, the Capitol Police Board has already issued an emergency declaration. The Pentagon has approved requests to extend the National Guard support at traffic control points until Wednesday.

On Tuesday, at least 20 convoy members plan to meet with Congressional senators and representatives, including Rep. Matt Gaetz and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene.
