If you are not allowed to use guns for self defense, then the higher rate of gun ownership does have a causal effect on lower levels of intentional homocide. Do a comparison on the extent of "castle doctrine" like laws in the countries to the left of the US in the graph and American castle doctrine laws.Okeefenokee wrote:A vastly higher rate of gun ownership compared with their rates of gun homicides?BjornP wrote:..and what do they all have in common in that graph of yours? .Okeefenokee wrote:

Fucking moron.
An incredibly disparate rate of gun homicides when compared with nations with lower rates of gun ownership?

The effectiveness of gun laws vary among nations that have disparate views on gun laws.
Fucking hell. Someone give that man a medal.

Next thing you'll tell me is that we can't know any of these things because the NRA doesn't allow any studies on these issues.

Not the point at all. Keep up and stop thinking i am arguing the gun grabber position just because i am replying to you.Okeefenokee wrote:BjornP wrote:If you are not allowed to use guns for self defense, then the higher rate of gun ownership does have a causal effect on lower levels of intentional homocide. The point is that it is not the availability of guns, or gun laws that is the key difference. It is the difference in self defense laws.

Here's ours,
Our self defense law does not make a distinction between citizens and government. It is ultimate. Your right to self defense is absolute. You may defend yourself against the government just as ardently as you may against any stranger.A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

I agree that there are any number of stats to consider. I’m just pointing out that this little chart is absurd.BjornP wrote:...and what do they all have in common in that graph of yours?Okeefenokee wrote:Japan, Switzerland, Sweden, UK, Canada, Finland.GrumpyCatFace wrote:Hey look it’s that comical US vs 3rd World chart again. Man that never gets old.

Anyway, GCF: It's the gun ownership pr capita *compared* to intentional homocide rate you should be looking at. Yes, the US has more murders than first world countries, but if gun ownership pr capita was really the primary reason for a higher murder rate, the murder rate in the US should *follow* the stats for gun ownership.
There are 150+ countries in the world. It’s not difficult to cherry-pick a dozen that fit together in a nice curve.

You’re standing on an anthill right now, braying at imaginary enemies. Nobody (certainly not me) proposed any “draconian agenda” to take away your boomsticks. There are a number of varying viewpoints and proposals among that group that you’re calling out.Okeefenokee wrote:Where did all the gun grabbers go?

I'll pose the question again,
What is the deadliest mass shooting in a place of worship in US history, and why don't the gun grabbers know what it was?
It seemed like a few days ago they were gung ho on stripping American's of their constitutionally guaranteed rights, but all that gusto seems to have dried up rather quickly.
What happened?
Where's penner? Where's commie cat? Where's monty?
Why are all the people, who were just days ago calling for draconian restrictions on the rights of Americans to defend themselves, suddenly silent?
What happened?
We all saw you calling for us to be disarmed and defenseless, but where did you go?
We're all here wondering why you would demand we lose our rights last week, and then lose interest in such a totalitarian cause so soon.
Are we supposed to be swayed by such lackluster and fickle devotion to the stripping of our fundamental human rights?
You were all in here telling us that YOU cared so dearly for human life that you wanted us to be stripped of our ability to defend ourselves, but all accounts seem to indicate that you just got bored with it.
I know it sucks that your narrative failed. We noticed a week ago that the response to this shooting was built on lies, and we predicted, accurately, that there was a stand down order, but why did you leave?
It looks like you were really just the same sort of people we said you were. Standing on the graves of children to push your totalitarian agenda.

Lying ass faggot pretending I can't show you where he called for restrictions. Please, lying mother fucker, pretend I can't show anyone here who doesn't know that you have repeatedly called for bans of guns you know nothing about.
I fucking dare you, you gutless piece of shit. Do it.
Say one more fucking time that you haven't called for a ban on weapons you don't know shit about.
What the fuck is wrong with you that you would continue to push this bullshit?
