Would this subsidy problem go away if we got rid of the Iowa caucus?

That's actually an interesting thought.

Or if we had all the primaries on the same day..

Then we subsidize the poor with money, so they can buy the subsidized produce at artificially high prices.

Damn.

They get us coming and going.

I get that you want to stop feeding poor kids in school and let them starve to death while a rich guy sits on a surplus of food.

But it sounds like you want to get rid of the USDA

No, if Iowa was the only one we wouldn't have a problem.

Except you can't win Iowa unless you pledge your allegiance to the corn god. Winning Iowa is important. Maybe if it wasn't important, there could be a more rational discussion.

I'd actually like to see a lottery for any state that wanted to be one of the first two primary states, I'm pretty tired of Iowa and New Hampshire getting their way. I'd love to see these politicians have to go to Fairbanks in January to try and win that first Primary.

That's just not true. Look in the last cycle. Ted Cruz made that farmer do a 180 on ethanol and won the state. Rick Santorum won before that and Mike Huckabee win before that, for the GOP it isn't corn god, it is god period.

No screw that. Candidates gave to prove themselves down on the farm let them perform there. Other than that don't even bother with a primary. Just look at their Q scores and just go off that.
