Whatevs, it's all good, no need for speeches, just deliver that force to the startline, don't think, just do.MilSpecs wrote:Don't be a pig. That said, of course I'm guilty, probably more guilty than most in that I'm directly involved. These are my people, though, and I'm guessing that you know all empathy goes out the window when mine are threatened. I would be less forgiving than most military at the end of the day. Sow every acre with salt and all that. That's something I actually don't understand about men: how you can fight and then it's over. It's never over to women, at least most women I know. Once you've threatened me you're the enemy forever. Vendetta is real and everlasting. I admire soldier's ability to have compassion for the enemy and to feel common ground with someone you may have fought. Maybe it's just cultural on my part.Smitty-48 wrote:Tactics schmatics, specs, its all about logistics, it's all about you, you're the stone cold killer, the one who doesn't think, you just deliver the force to the startline, and then let instinct take over, I was all wrong about you, specs, you've been perfectly untrained. I fuckin' love that. That's hot. I'm gettin' a fuckin' chubb dog just thinkin' about it. Oorah.MilSpecs wrote:I guess I'm hiding it pretty well. Bball mom assassin.
As for us tactical folk, yeah, we're weepy emotional types, we feel bad for what we do, so then we have to compartmentalize, or we'll go crazy, so we have a good cry, and then we just have to leave it and walk away, done and done, close the box, lock it, put it on the shelf, and move on.

I used to think I was a stone cold killer until I went onto the dan carlin subreddit. Those folks are tough! Talk about courage!

Its a lot less martian-y there and far more conventional left wingish. Many of the threads on this forum would never see the light of day there.Viktorthepirate wrote:Is it that bad there?heydaralon wrote:I used to think I was a stone cold killer until I went onto the dan carlin subreddit. If there aren't any Americans who want to be small farmers, then you need to put your monsanto railing to rest.GrumpyCatFace wrote:You’re actually serious, too.Okeefenokee wrote:Monty finally says something true. You can't have it both ways.

LMFAO You think we’re going to shift back to a nation of yeoman farmers once the laborers are all deported?? Mao, indeed!Okeefenokee wrote:If there aren't any Americans who want to be small farmers, then you need to put your monsanto railing to rest.GrumpyCatFace wrote:You’re actually serious, too.Okeefenokee wrote:

You can't have it both ways.
Even if you magically whisked away the entire Big Ag Land empires, and distributed them to people that actually want to farm, you’d have a third of the world starving before they could get the fields planted.
The economy does not turn on a dime, let alone the entire food infrastructure of the country.
EDIT: holy shit, I just reread your post, and you’re actually equating field laborers to ‘small farmers’. That’s like calling a cashier a Retailer LOL
Oh thank you. I needed that...
