These are my people, though, and I'm guessing that you know all empathy goes out the window when mine are threatened. I would be less forgiving than most military at the end of the day. Once you've threatened me you're the enemy forever. Vendetta is real and everlasting. I admire soldier's ability to have compassion for the enemy and to feel common ground with someone you may have fought. Maybe it's just cultural on my part.

As for us tactical folk, yeah, we're weepy emotional types, we feel bad for what we do, so then we have to compartmentalize, or we'll go crazy, so we have a good cry, and then we just have to leave it and walk away, done and done, close the box, lock it, put it on the shelf, and move on.

Even if you magically whisked away the entire Big Ag Land empires, and distributed them to people that actually want to farm, you’d have a third of the world starving before they could get the fields planted.
