I don't think that means much. The people that would be on the MHF aren't likely to be the snowflakes StA refers to, so it's natural they would be outliers.TheReal_ND wrote:So fucking many in this very thread. Maybe your premise is flawedIM TELLING YOU THERE ARE OUTLIERS

Valid. I simply have an aversion to being associated with anything boomer. My grandparents were silent generation as well. Like no boomers anywhere in my family. I don't even know what a boomer looks like I just associate them with fat old people with reverse mortgages.

Also worth noting that the age couples choose to have children has been rising, in fact going by the majority of my former HS classmates (again, 1964, the "cusp" of boomer/gen-x), at ~53, have children in their mid- late 20s (and down to some just entering college). While some were popping kids out at 18, most were waiting to graduate college and marry, etc. 1965+18=1983, presuming a "majority" weren't popping kids out right after HS (so add a few years to that) one would think it'd be hard for the "majority" of millenials to be born of gen-x.Speaker to Animals wrote:TheReal_ND wrote:We've had theee people tell you their parents aren't boomers. And I prefer gen Y for the early millenials anyway. Two completely different things. Like they had just started on us but it didn't take long I guess. We still had BB gun fights and parents weren't sue happy.
And I have told you probably six times that outliers don't changet the trend. One of my parents is a boomer, but my generation was greatly influenced by the far more predominant silent generation parents.
You are not reading a word anybody writes about this. You confuse a tree with a forest and repeat the same irrelevant statement over and over.
The predominant parents of your generation are boomers. That's a fact. Gen X was too young unless, like your parents, they conceived as teens. Only at the borders do you see one or maybe both parents as the previous generation.
It literally makes no sense to frame millinneals as predominantly antly the children of Gen X. Go to any online encyclopedia to confirm this fact.
Oh, and maybe a tad overweight ND, but house totally paid off (in 13of30) and reverse mortgages are not an option worth considering - for now. Though my uncle (mom's brother), GI-gen as well, signed his house over to pay for my aunt's care (Alzheimer's), so one never knows what life may bring. At 80+ things may seem different to you. My falling apart waste product late-40s gen-x cousin was not happy to hear he wasn't inheriting the house to sell and piss away.

You let the demographics get fucked up. At least offer your children sanctuary on a piece of property far away from the burning cities.

As son as the majority of parents of babies born in some year were millinneals, the next generation arguably began. Baby mama generation seems most appropriate. The boomer cancer metastasizing. God, I hope it ends with them. Gen Z has a huge battle ahead of them.

Implying boomers will ever die.
They are literally eating fetuses and putting them on their face at this point.

Boomers are going to fuck over their millinneal children, and millinneals will fuck over their children (generally). That's what happens when your generation is so self-absorbed.
My hope is that these kids aof millinneals will be so fucked up by their childhoods that they come to Jesus and follow Gen Z's lead. Gen Z is our nation's last hope.

Silent generation is just the latest term for older boomers. My parents are older boomers and I'm a younger boomer. That's common, to have two generations of boomers.

What do you think "boomers" was originally coined to mean? Were your parents born before, during, or after WWII?MilSpecs wrote:Silent generation is just the latest term for older boomers. My parents are older boomers and I'm a younger boomer. That's common, to have two generations of boomers.

LMFAO
Silent generation were just kids and very young adults when boomers began.
