I am not going to defend CA resource management when it comes to water because that is a legitimate mess in a lot of ways.

We do still have a big problem in the fact that our ground reserves are frightfully low after the long spat of very dry years. We still need a lot of exceptionally wet years to build them back up, and that can't be entirety blamed on bad management.

We are going to need to adapt our infrastructure and habits to changing conditions.

Hopefully this civil war I've been hearing about doesn't get in the way too much.

And StA, if I am ever beaten to death by an unruly mob of brown foreigners, I will try to make sure my last thoughts are an acknowledgement that you were right.

Like until about 1960 lynching was thing. It was sometimes used on blacks, and whites, for the crime of being successful, or often working against the established order. Or like, from 1865 to 1880 blacks, and their white supporters, were throughout all levels of government, including Congress, throughout the South.
