theatre of operations

first enabling objective is to know the terrain

so I would patrol it

patrol, patrol, patrol, until I knew every bit of it like the back of my hand

the whole time you are sighting for positions of observation and positions of fire

as well as locations for lying up points, hide sites, supply caches etcetera

my arm of decision on such a battlefield would be booby traps

it's all about having the fitness to sustain the effort under extreme duress

if you don't have the physical fitness, you don't have the mental fitness neither

what happens is that troops become so exhausted they can't think straight

in order to be a light infantryman, a paratrooper, you have to be an Olympic level tactical athlete

beats working in an office tho, and chicks dig it too

I used to run seven days a week, I woke up on Sundays and ran a half marathon just to maintain the standard
