I didn't read it all, but my hypothesis is it all starts with diet.

1. Increase in consumption of processed foods
2. Removal of fat, and increase of high fructose corn syrup
3. Focus on appearance resulting in less nutritious foods
4. Mono-culture crops resulting in less variety
That is where I'm different, we eat fresh foods, almost nothing pre-processed, we eat meat, fish, he likes his cow burgers, and chicken. Both raised within spitting distance of where I live.

It's amazing people who can afford to do this don't, I'm afraid my kid is going to have more testosterone than three of these twatnuggets combined.

It’s NOT the quality of the food, it’s the QUANITY. Your gut doesn’t give a fuck what kind of carb it turns into glucose, and fresh fruit is the worse sugar of all.

Lower quality food often leads to over eating.

Not arguing but give me an example.

You eat a meal made at home of seared Greenbeans from the Midwest, a baked chicken leg, and some mashed potatoes, all fresh from a few mile radius, (and an orange from California or Florida) or you go out to McDonalds and get a large burger with a large soda... which one does you better health wise?

BTW, that homemade meal, is what my son ate today.

Dude, a Big Mac is healthy food. You could eat 3 Big Macs a day and lose weight; not so with potatoes. And fruit will fatten you up; one of the first things pediatricians tell mothers with fat babies is “no juice.” Diet soda is fine too, don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

p.s. I just lost 7 lbs. in 3 days (72 hrs.) of fasting. Today was eat day but lo-carb.
p.p.s. I still drink diet drinks & hard alcohol on fasting days.

Here is a study on it.
What they mean by “processed” is mixed. It didn’t say they ate more, it said the same amount of calories caused more weight gain. #1 - calories is a ridiculous way to measure things that cause weight gain; only use carbs. #2 - mixed foods taste better because saturated fats (vegetable oils) have all of the Hs on the same side of the molecule and it binds with the taste & olfactory receptors better. Saturated fats have higher carb values even if the calories are the same.

Pre-made/fast foods. Is what they mean, and it doesn't just mean McDonald's type of foods as “Fast Food”

Same thing as you do in your kitchen:

“According to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), processed food is defined as any raw agricultural commodity that has been subject to washing, cleaning, milling, cutting, chopping, heating, pasteurizing, blanching, cooking, canning, freezing, drying, dehydrating, mixing, packaging or other procedures.”

But from a biochemistry pov, the only molecular changes made are “saturation,” which is achieved through mixing.

“A saturated fat is a type of fat in which the fatty acid chains have all or predominantly single bonds. A fat is made of two kinds of smaller molecules: glycerol and fatty acids. Fats are made of long chains of carbon atoms. Some carbon atoms are linked by single bonds and others are linked by double bonds.”

And cooking, which breaks down protein bonds, but protein doesn’t cause weight gain.
