To get this back on topic. This kind of subversion of the Constitution worries me. I want to know if there is anything we can do to stop it? The only way I'm aware of is a Constitutional Amendment, but I find it unlikely that would happen.

There won't be any more Amendments to The Constitution. It will all be judicial fiat, as it has been for the past half-Century.
