My wife keeps trying to talk about this as if the Communists were reasonable & honest. I keep telling her to think of this as a foreign invasion.
Giving women the vote was a huge mistake.
Luckily I can't be banned on Reddit if I say that - women are 50.8% of the population, and therefore a majority, so it's open season on women...

It's the advertisers. Or rather the ad buyers. They want a brand safe environment, so they don't have to deal with shit like getting targeted by
Sleeping Giants. Now that a lot of companies are pulling their social media marketing the purge is on. It's the new reality. Welcome to the Netocracy.

I fully agree with them pulling advertising.
They'll sell less product, social media will lose revenue and hopefully start collapsing, and I'll have a lot less annoying bullshit like the Gillette "best transgender you can be" crap shoveled at me.
Sounds like winning all around to me. Nobody hammers the companies that just sell a product without trying to shovel politics advertising into it - make a good product, it'll cost less without all the advertising, people will come. Social media is just toxic anyways.

You make no sense to me there. First I'm not saying this is good or bad. I'm just trying to explain what the dynamics are. Companies are being constantly hammered by f.ex. Sleeping Giants as soon as their ads show up next to something "problematic". That is their winning tactics and it's because it's so effective that all advertisers are quitting social media.
If you don't like social media you should be glad if all the undesired marketing went there where you won't have to see it. What am I missing? Are you hate watching it?
The woke advertising like Gillette and Nike put out is a whole different matter. It stems from PR people looking at social media to find out what is trending, not realizing they themselves are experiencing a bubble perspective due to their own bias and the censoring of the platforms.
