As far as I'm concerned you can celebrate whatever imaginary deity you wish but if you could stop destroying my planet with your over commercialised, winter solstice rip off, consumerist, plastic crap fest I'd be eternally grateful.
You say God is imaginary yet you refer to eternity.

From another article:
The memo stated Principal Jennifer Sinclair came from a place where Christmas was not allowed in schools, which is why she laid out what could and could not be allowed in classrooms. She stated she wanted to be inclusive and culturally sensitive to all students.

... because nothing says "inclusive and culturally sensitive" like banning Christmas.

A-herpa-derp-derp!
Being inclusive isn't much better.

None of these anti-Christmas types that reject the religion and the reason we have the holiday ever volunteer to work that day. They are all too happy to reap the benefits of it.

The memo caused an uproar with parents and teachers, some of whom got in touch with a Florida-based First Amendment group, Liberty Counsel
Aren't those uproar thingies done by angry people? I've heard it said that one can't be rational when one is angry... Guess one shouldn't pay this any mind...

On a more serious note, it's a lazy sort of mindset - it's all about making assumptions about what other people feel, in this case assuming that non-Christian kids would be "traumatized" by seeing a santa hat, or christmas tree, or what Christmas symbolisms one can think of. The Soft Bigotry of Low Expectations.
Fame is not flattery. Respect is not agreement.

Funny how God is not even mentioned in the definition of eternity.
Eternity is a measure of the length of time.
Time, we are told, began with the big bang (roughly 13.5 billion years before man created God) and will end with the death of the universe.
Eternity for me though is the length of my life. Once I'm dead, and my ashes have been fired across the big meadow by my last trebuchet, time will no longer exist for me personally and eternity will come to an end.

I'd be eternally grateful if you could keep God in your churches and out of my expression of how long I would be thankful.

Eternity is outside time.. Only one thing exists outside time.. Existence itself.. the first cause.. AKA God.
