Time was invented in Greenwich England so we own it prole. The time is what we say it is.

There's a proposition on the California ballot to allow the state to look into getting rid of DST, I voted yes. Fuck DST. Except last week when I got that extra hour of sleep. That wasn't bad

I don't want to create a time that is based on colonial oppression and racist military conquest. The point of this time is to unify America and the world, not to stir the pot with unbelievably discriminatory imperial practices!

I kinda like the little quirks marking the seasons like DST, Christmas,Easter etc.

I think you'll find that the British Empire was liberating backwards nations from themselves. I'm totally for abolishing time zones altogether. It's just confusing things when the world gets smaller and instant communication over large distances becomes increasingly mundane. We used to have different time in different cities but went to a national time when we got railways. Time to adopt a global(ist) time. I'm fine with GMT but I don't care what time zone we go for.

Time could just be denoted in GMT such that, for example, a store hours are denoted in +2 to +12.
You'd lose some ease of adjusting to local time. Locals would all be used to those times, but visitors and travelers will not. It is easier to adjust your watch to the new time zone so that 7 am is 7 am.
