What's that? Oddly enough I am dealing with this exact issue with my Dad right now who is dying from liver cancer. We are in hospice and he is dealing with the roads not traveled. Yet, he traveled every road that was right for him at the time that he came upon the crossings. I think the "what ifs" and desire to go back and reimagine one's story is where the greatest hurts lie but they are illusions. The cake is a lie. We do what we can do at the time that we did it. If we knew better, we would have done better.

When I'm talking about wisdom, what I mean is being able to look at life from 30,000 feet. Down on the ground, all you can see is your house and down the street, and that's your whole world, but if you climb out on the roof, you can see your city, and that's your whole world, and if you drive up into the mountains you can see so far it seems like that must be the whole world. There's all those other places, and all those other people, and every single one of them is the center of the universe, and every single one of them thinks the street outside their house is the whole world.
