I think this is an important discussion.

I think the only real comparison for us is 1968-69, it saw 22 riots according to Wikipedia
We are sitting at 16 riots in the Era of Trump.

The other link had more recent ones, but few were national events. What I saw today in Congress was troubling.
The 'riots" were worse in the 1960s in scale and depth. Damage done and people involved etc. The number of labeled riots is a very low resolution view of whats significant here. Other metrics matter more than total numbers.
Without a doubt they were bigger and more violent. But we as a culture were more violent, today we are far more comfortable as a society, but also far more polarized.

Everyone's a liar dude. All politicians are megalomaniacs. If you value market economies and freedom at all (I don't know if you care about the former) theres a case to be made that FDR saved what could of the economy. Many countries would have and did go full socialism or blended corporations with the state ala Mussolini / Hitler Corporatism. I believe that was what the Fascist Mussolini called his system of political economy. Anyway lets not totally derail this thread.
Oh let's not forget his pivot to Mao thanks to his cabal of communist admirers, himself being one of them.

Honestly I think way way too many people are just pussies fundamentally for it to really pop off. I think its likely to get a bit worse (at least its plausible if not probable) but after a few heads get busted like Kent State people that play Antifa and whatever the fuck will sit the fuck down. People don't have the stomach for casualties, headaches, stitches, and crutches etc. I've grappled/wrestled/boxed etc. and I'm no warrior or badass I know that, but I'm a notch above most keyboard types but I still know my place. And if im not popping off most wont after the first head gets cracked. People aren't built for that shit.

I'm telling you man shit got real way way more than these past couple years. Its a picnic now. Look into 1871 strike or 1919 strikes...
This is one of my big arguments for pulling back severely on immigration. Both those periods were towards the waining of decades of wild immigration.

I argue that we need to pull back and give people time to assimilate. Look at the recent Portland riot over ICE and immigration.

You'll get no argument from me about securing the border and slowing down immigration. I'd just like less foreign military deployments and some healthcare for our own at home along with the immigration shutdown. Don't shot me I didn't vote for Trump nor Clinton. haha. I want Trump to do well now he's in office b/c that means the country is doing better or succeeding. I hope we can all agree that's a start.

 I agree, 21st Century Americans are a majority pussies. We just have it too fucking good to be tough. Our poverty stricken are obese and have iPhones.

There's a lot of LARPing on both sides, hell in Portland there was a guy dressed like he was going to ComicCon in Pepe the Frog mask and a Kek flag on his back. That riot was a big loss for Antifa, they went down there en masse to bust Patriot heads and got rolled up by just a few Patriots.

The biggest message I got out of that is that the Patriots walked into the PRP and just said, you don't own this, we'll beat you on your home court...…………. we don't care if you outnumber us 5 to 1.

Fortress America baby. Clearly NATO is not willing to pay their share, so let's pull back.
Trump got worked by the Pentagon and CIA on that. He held out for about 4 months, then folded.

It's one of the Primary things I want out of Trump. I'm not so big on health care for all, but selling out to big Pharma isn't the answer either. Fact is, if we stop giving away our wealth so that our criminal politicians can line there pockets, America would be stupid wealthy.

The fuck you say. I do labor for stretches of time between 4 to 24 hours. If anyone is going to fuck someone up it is me. I'm literally as proletariat as Marx's wettest dream and I have to work with an external proletariat to boot. I could physically fuck people up with my busted hands if I wanted. Don't appeal to authority to me. I am the fucking authority and nobody fucks with me in my ghetto. I leave a copy of mein kampf out for everyone to see. Nobody wants to fucking touch me if they know what is good for them.

Say what you will about FDR
Ok. He was a fucking liar.

The communists were here all right and he was an adamant admirer that supplied them with Ford tractors and grain.
If I remember right FDR arrested a lot of Communists. He also got worked over pretty hard by Stalin. Stalin could speak English, but never let out the secret. So when FDR and Winston were talking, Stalin was listening. That's how he got the upper hand.
