Not saying false flag conspiracy theory, but every time the Mueller investigation does something to up the ante, this time it was raids on Trump's lawyer, suddenly there's a foreign policy distraction being incited by the White House conveniently timed to muddy the waters in the media cycle.

Oldest trick in the White House book of course.

Like, the bombing of the civilians in Syria is constant, right? They're getting bombed all the time, the number of casualties inflicted by these supposed chemical weapons attacks is negligible in the context of that, and even if it was a chemical attack, it wasn't a big one, America picks and chooses when it "needs" to respond in Syria, and it seems pretty convenient that it "needs" to respond in Syria just when the White House would like to change up the narrative.

Another factor, as Arc Light mentioned the British component, is that Theresa May has been talking tough about Russia but actually looking pretty impotent in the process, so perhaps she "needs" a little wag the dog action too.

This is where zombie Cold War legacy projects come in handy, always gotta have something going on the back burner in case you need a jingly keys media distraction.

Ol' Justin Trudeau could use one of those right now too, he's got pipeline problems between Alberta and BC, that's our virtual civil war in progress, too bad for Ottawa that they've dismantled the Canadian navy and don't have any jingly keys to play with as a result.

Since the Eco-Bolshies are using the Indians as their proxies to block the Alberta pipeline from going through BC, and it may require the army to push it through should Ottawa force the issue, our virtual civil war actually has an exponentially greater chance of going hot than the American one.
