It just offends me that there even exists such a thing as "squatter's rights". How in the fuck did something like that get invented? In America??

True Story:
My friend, John Polos', daughter lives in San Jose. They have a HUGE tent city homeless problem down there, lots of break-ins. John's a retired Sheriff's Reserve but he still likes to keep his eyes open. He followed some vagrant who tried to break into a house, called the cops, prevented the robbery. The next day he was walking and the woman who owned the house was outside watering her plants.
John: "Hi, I'm John Polos. I'm the one who called the police when that man was trying to break into your house."
Fat watering lady: "That poor man probably needed my things more than I did."

Do we amend that rule to "better weapons is 9/10th of the law"? How is that not squatting? BTW, the Brits we got much Law from have big issues with the squatting thing too.Speaker to Animals wrote: My honored ancestor invaded and took that land by right of arms. We are only accustomed to dealing with like twenty online personas at a time so when we only have about ten people some people have to be strawmanned in order to advance our same relative go nowhere nonsense positions. -TheReal_ND

America was acquired via Title By Conquest. Not ours, the Spanish Conquest, who then transferred Land Grants to Americans legally.
p.s. Israelis are using Title By Conquest right now on the West Bank, and Russia will presumably claim Title By Conquest in Crimea since Trump recognizes Israel's claim.

Not any more. Squatters rights don't exist now and you can force someone out in a month if you follow the correct legal process.brewster wrote:Do we amend that rule to "better weapons is 9/10th of the law"? For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

They were savages. They weren't Christians. They weren't civilized. There weren't hardly any of them here in the first place. Whatever.
Now they get to live in houses and they stopped eating each other, so it's not like they got a bad deal either.

If they want the land back, apparently they can re-squat it.

They have all the good land just down the road!
They make out like bandits over there.
Go look at the Cherokee reservation on Google Earth.
