From what I read my old 32-bit Xeon desktop machines are safe from this bug. This tablet, I dunno - but more and more I'm avoiding 'new tech' & just bailing on sites that are painfully slow from all the bloat, JavaScript, embedded videos, etc. Most of it I block, but a lot of sites don't even load without enabling some stuff - and honestly I get more and more frustrated at hitting a site that references 50 other sites to load crap.GrumpyCatFace wrote:No. Read the whole thing. The Conservative wrote:Old news. This honestly doesn't amaze me though; there was an intel chip backdoor already, this is just another layer of BS.
Oops.

Programmers are scrambling to overhaul the open-source Linux kernel's virtual memory system. Meanwhile, Microsoft is expected to publicly introduce the necessary changes to its Windows operating system in an upcoming Patch Tuesday: these changes were seeded to beta testers running fast-ring Windows Insider builds in November and December.
