Projecting what is happening to CT on the rest of the US, as dumb as it gets. You live in a bubble, stop projecting your own experiences on everyone else, everyone else does not think like you do, stop assuming that they do. You're a misfit, you're opinions and reactions to what is happening are not indicative of the rest of society.Zlaxer wrote:StCapps wrote:The US Dollar rules the world, that's a big difference compared to whatever past scenario you are trying to project unto the present. Also Nuclear Weapons exist, shit has changed bro, there are more differences between then and now than there are similarities. A few state governments overspending isn't going to bring you down anytime soon, the USA is stronger than you think.Zlaxer wrote:Just observing what happened in PR, IL, what's about to happen in CT....looking at historical contexts of how republics fail....yeah, there's a lot of similarities going on...
You're pre-disposition to viewing things as a catastrophe is what blinds you from this reality, you go looking for confirmation that the sky is falling, and don't even look at anything that would indicate the opposite. Yet you wonder why your predictions are so off, lulz.
No - looking at what's happening in my state is driving my world view....Your overconfidence in the US is blinding you.
This is why you don't understand why Democrats keep winning in CT, you project your views on the rest of your state, and then are confused when they vote differently. If people from Connecticut don't think like you do, what are the chances that all of America thinks the way you do? Not very high, yet you keep projecting on them anyway, and then you base your silly conclusions off of these projections.
Which is why you are so wrong all the time, you think everyone else is just like you, and you base your worldview off of that assumption, but they aren't just like you, in fact, they think very differently than you.
