The Left has understood the intrinsic value of controlling the national narrative through the media for a long time now. Conservatives have never assigned the proper value to money-losing enterprises like newspapers & magazines. I think you might be a couple decades off. 1994 was a long time ago. Being in the minority is no fun. Being in the minority means having to talk big and then back it up when you get power back.
