$400 a month?
Lulz.
Try $400 a week - that's what a real health insurance plan costs for a family.

Now, with a $6K deductible at $700/month...

It didn't go from $30/month to $700/month since Obama... my rates since Obamacare have risen at approximately the same rate, in general.

Note - I'm no champion of Obamacare - I was against it from the beginning. I just don't see it as the primary reason that our healthcare system is in a downward spiral. It has been, since Nixon got involved.
Before ObamaCare, I had my other knee operated on. I paid nothing out of pocket except for $100 and paid $150 a month for insurance, and I was using "RomneyCare". ObamaCare is a failure.

Did you not read what Martin Hash just posted... that is the point, I don't have health insurance. I pay $400 a month, but I have over $3,000 bill to cover what health insurance doesn't. I don't have health insurance...

Did you not read your plan when you signed up?
How have you been surprised by your own medical coverage?

There was only one plan, I didn't have a choice. I've applied to another from the state because I can't afford to get hit with a huge bill. The problem is that this failure is allowed by ObamaCare, but wasn't allowed by RomneyCare, but because ObamaCare is mandatory... we are fucked.

what are the primary differences between Romneycare and Obamacare that cause Obamacare to be so much worse? I'm pretty sure it's just a state versus an entire country. Other than that, they are almost identical.
Account abandoned.

Not having a choice sucks.
My employer offered three choices which weren’t much of an improvement over simply buying a plan directly off the market.
So I low-rated them on Glassdoor and warned others to stay away from these leeches.

Not even close. RomneyCare had an increase limiter on how much insurances could increase per year, ObamaCare doesn't. Also, RomneyCare didn't allow high deductibles... insurances were cut out of the state originally for doing shit like that. ObamaCare brings it back again...

Beyond that, yeah... it's expensive, I pay twice. Once for health insurance, and another for what it won't cover...

Yeah, this is a startup company, it's the only reason for my willingness to barely tolerate it.

We're well over $700/month for the family, and that's with a $6,000 deductible and a 30% co-pay after that.

Damn. That's fucking awful.
