The current GOP tax bill will literally force people out of their homes in my state...many are already living pay check to pay check and count on the tax returns to buy shit like cars, credit cards, etc....seriously, we're fucked if this goes through.

State legislatures will not care or won't be able to react fast enough.....

Here is something on Vox that I was reading up on:

Here’s the Joint Committee on Taxation’s estimates of what each provision raises and costs in tax revenue:

What's the argument for an inheritance Tax ? Why should the government be the paid when someone dies? Why shouldn't it be up to an individual where there resources go after they die ?

Rich people need to pay more taxes.

Government needs to spend less....
Working on a paper.

Austin Water Management:

Source of funds,
44.5% of funds from wastewater service
47.7% of funds from water service
Combined, 92.7% of funds from customers paying for service

Use of funds,
13.5% of funds for treatment

Total budget, $577,519,301

Clearly we need more taxes.

Did somebody mention “fair”? I don’t do fair. Math don’t care about fair. You’re either an aristocracy or you do something to prevent an aristocracy from forming. Only Inheritance taxes or revolution will do that. You pick.

A lot of people on this forum are pro-aristocrat. Since I’m the only aristocrat here, bow to me.

Horseshit.

ar·is·toc·ra·cy
ˌerəˈstäkrəsē/Submit
noun
the highest class in certain societies, especially those holding hereditary titles or offices.

Does not exist in the US. Poor become rich. Rich become poor. Every damn day.
Only Inheritance taxes or revolution will do that.
More horseshit.

The only way to prevent something that never existed in America is to tax even more, or you're all gonna die.

No, you aren't. I asked you already, and you copped to it. You didn't come from wealth. You didn't get what you have simply because of your birth.

You aren't an aristocrat. You're just another champagne socialist.

I see no reason for the government to get a cut of inheritance.
