In the world where business and government don't collude.
You mean like collude to not enforce immigration law so businesses can get away with felonious labor practices? Yeah, that's why Trump was elected. To stop that.
Textbook definition for "out of the frying pan and into the fire."
Take everything away from the working class, and then "look at all the jobs that just opened up for you!"
And sending Trump to protect your financial interests is like sending Casanova to protect your virtue. Or Trump, although at this stage of the game he may not be up to it.

How about we leave your TDS aside and just look at the issue itself. Do American workers have the right to keep illegal immigrants out of the workforce or not?
Because if your answer is no, then I would argue there really is no point to maintaining this farce. The end game is extinction of the American people following our total economic ruin.

I thought we were supposed to be eating expensive organic stuff? No one sent me the memo. The Alinsky organization is falling down on the job.

We have the right to keep them out of the country. That said, as a NYer I don't have TDS. I know what he is. I didn't think the rest of the country would buy a bridge from him, so clearly I have USDS.

Well, whatever you want to call it and leaving Trump out of it for now, I take it you agree that we have the right to enforce our immigration laws and remove these people?

Do the farm workers own the farm?
Your logic should apply to politicians and stock brokers, too, I think. You just cannot remove politicians in the middle of working on an major, important bill or a stock broker who might be the key to either boosting or crashing the economy. Oh, and police. What sense does it make to remove policemen in the middle of crime sprees? You'd have anarchy and mass mayhem if they play their cards right...

Keep people from illegally immigrating in and remove the more recent arrivals, yes. Those who were allowed to come here with a wink and a nod from the overlords, they're a different story. We let them in and did nothing about it for so many years (nod to Fife about the business-government collusion) that it would be immoral to remove the ones who've been here so long that they're de facto americans.

You don't mess with the food supply without serious advance planning and supervision. Reference The Great Leap Forward.

Arresting illegal alien farm workers, and hopefully their employers, isn't excatly comparable to a Maoist plan of turning your country from an agricultural into an industrial society. You're sort of already there...
I'm just going to go out on a limb and assume that not every farmer and their employees are illegals smuggled into the US.

I did a quick lookup - about 75% of farm workers. Farmers and migrant labor
are not the same thing. Migrant laborers are farmhands - they work for the farmer.
