This is a valid point, except that it doesn't really make a difference in FEDERAL elections.kybkh wrote:Please go here liberals. We need something to get this shit show going and you got just the idea.
There could be no bigger swipe at state rights in today's world. The system is working as it was designed by not letting the masses in urban areas decide what is best for the dispersed folks in the rural area.
Morons just need to let go of this idea of "STANDARDIZATION".
I have absolute zero fucks about what happens in Cali but shit here is different we cling to our guns and religion because we need it. You can tell me who is better off 50 years down the road. (damn I only got 37 left, sad)
If people want to move to Sexcriminalboat, they are welcome to it. I won't stop'em and I won't even charge a toll to drive down our streets, but leave muh culture alone!!
You want diversity but fail to realize that you already have it where you live so to be truly diverse there needs to be some non-diverse cultures too.

You deserved it... seriously, when did anyone on the ocean ever vote? (And don't say Hawaii, they are surrounded by water, they are still a landmass) And don't say people who live in boat houses... that's not enough people to sway a state one way or another.DBTrek wrote:Wow.The Conservative wrote:No, I'm talking the mass between your ears... yes landmass.DBTrek wrote:

Re: Clinton: Time to remove the electoral college!
I recently went back and listened to CS 294, Trumping the Playbook. In that episode Dan did just after the first GOP debate in 2015 Dan suggested we change our Primary System. In Dan's plan, the map above would indicate in Blue, which communities and states get to vote first in the primaries to winnow out the candidates. He decried how unrepresentative Iowa was of the country and population centers where the true diversity of the nation was shown. The Conservative wrote:The fact she can't shut up should be enough of a warning, but she wants to have the electoral college wiped out so that the minority (Democrat strongholds) can tell the majority how to vote.

Forget that Hillary Clinton lost on counties overall, and states only went to her because the larger voting numbers are inside specific counties... the reason she wants to get rid of it is that she knows she would have won without it.
Basically Dan outlined a way, that Lefties who are loosing could reshape the candidacy to be, 'more representative, and more sensitive to diversity'
Dan also said that the race was better with Trump in it, but he didn't want to see Trump as POTUS, he's never liked Trump.

Dan also was flakey on a few things as well, I would split it between half blue and half red, so they would have a fair shake on both.

No, it's not that. The Conservative wrote:You deserved it... seriously, when did anyone on the ocean ever vote? (And don't say Hawaii, they are surrounded by water, they are still a landmass) And don't say people who live in boat houses... that's not enough people to sway a state one way or another.
It's that you apparently think landmass means something in the game of representative government. Governments are created by people, to organize and rule over people, and landmass isn't people.
So when you say something like:
. . . well, that's crazy. I mean, it's totally irrelevant. Rocks don't need fucking representatives. Empty tracts of land don't have opinions on how things should be run. Trees don't pay taxes. The Conservative wrote:Oh really? Tell me what state that she won was more than 50% of the physical state instead of getting votes in a handful of counties to overturn the majority of the state's wishes?
So who cares if a candidate doesn't win 50% of the "physical state" when only the living organisms (belonging to the genus homo sapiens) are voting? The mass of the organic, human material in every state is far less than 50% of the "physical state", - so how much crack are you smoking?
"Sorry, no one wins this election. 99.9% of the physical state didn't vote, only a few million humans showed up to the ballot box. Therefore no candidate got 50% of the physical state."
Ya crackhead.
