LOL. You're funny man. Who is the "you guys" you are smarming at? There are literally ZERO LP people who will read any of the shit you are putting up. They aren't here.Speaker to Animals wrote:Fife wrote:What's kind of funny is that there are literally zero lolbergs on this discussion board. The LP has been a steaming shitpile for decades. I seriously doubt there is a single member of that party in our group. Sadly, there probably were some Johnson/Weld voters.
Does the LP and the Nick-Gillespies-of-the-Reason-world really mean that much to you all?
Nick Sarwark is about as scary as one of the alt-white tiki torch guys.
For the curious out there, take a look at the Aids/LP. Then start listening to and reading some Misesian/Rothbardian stuff.
It's the entire ideology of libertarianism and how it infected the GOP to create this massive failstate that has become of the United States that pisses me off. It's the fact that NONE of you guys will ever own up to all the damage your "free trade" and open borders ideas have inflicted upon Americans that pisses me off even more.
It's a huge failure. The entire libertarian project failed, man. It's over and you rubes can't seem to figure it out. You were given a shot by the American people, you failed, and your ideology is rejected.
It's not that you don't have a point here and there. Some of that stuff will get reused. But the larger cut of your jib is rejected.
Lolbergs need to just stop.

Implying I have not interacted with countless self-professing libertarians, many on this forum, for YEARS who have constantly defended offshoring jobs and opening borders to all migrants no matter what.

Whatever, man. They aren't here. Nobody here is trying to sass Lauren Southern; nobody who knows the difference would waste the time anyway.Speaker to Animals wrote:Implying I have not interacted with countless self-professing libertarians, many on this forum, for YEARS who have constantly defended offshoring jobs and opening borders to all migrants no matter what.

Re: Lolbergs need to just stop.
I own up to everything I;ve said and done. I always try to.
When I first came to DCF was I a Mises idealogue, the systems thinking appealed to me, and I was blind to any negatives, mostly because my faith in govt was so low and govt so unfixable that I had to believe there was some other faction to get behind. I now see my prior views as 2 dimensional and childish.
I voted for gary johnson, not out of any belief in him, but out of the fact that I live in NY and Clinton locked it up and I would rather try to give support to a third party. Even then I knew the LP was a joke clown show, and since then I have become even less libertarian, and I see third-party hopes and dreams as increasingly ridiculous, sadly. Libertarianism might work in smaller cohesive communities with similar values of personal responsibility et al, but I now understand that is really not any more Utopian than believing in communism working out.
While I admit I was excited about any changes Trump might bring and was filled with adrenaline when he did win (I went out to the bars and got wasted by myself), I always deep down knew that he doesn't really stand for much and that is narcissism is basically his primary driving trait. I never got on the train, but always cheered for him to punch the things I despise (clinton, jeb and on down the line)
But I would take a lolberg over Clinton, Kamala Harris, Bernie, Liz Warren and whatever flotsam the Ds throw out there.
I will say this: I don't see myself voting for anything other than R candidates for a long time, no matter how despicable I find them.
Sad!
Notice I offer no solutions or ways out of this mess, I dont see any, even more sad!

Does "lolberg" mean LP, or Libertarian ideology? Because the two are diverging quickly...

Everyone in this thread sounds like:
"Hey varmints, don't mess with a guy that's riding a buffalo"
