Here's the quick run down of what I know so far; haven't been following it closely at all

• basically every TRS podcast has been shilling for this event for at least a couple months
  
  TRS is alt-right whatever that means anymore, really they are just pro white or white nationalists
  
  Antifa has been making threats of violence
  
  One of the main alt-right leaders has specifically said multiple times this is a peaceful protest at Lee Park. Multiple people have been interviewed by detectives ahead of time and everyone has assured LEO this is peaceful. LEO is more interested in the threats they have been getting from antifa
  
  The city cancelled their permit to have the rally at Lee Park (called emancipation park now) and moved it to somewhere else not too far away because of all the threats from Antifa
  
  This is a violation of the First Amendment (see heckler's veto)

International news now

In the United States there are multiple injured at a far-right march.
Authorities of the city of Charlottesville declared a state of emergency thanks to a great march of white nationalists that have a racist, anti-immigrant rhetoric.
The protest is against the removal of a Confederate statue from a park, the Confederates didn't want the abolition of slavery and lost a war in the 19th century.
Yesterday men and women carrying torches reminiscent of the racist group Ku Klux Klan made a protest, shouting slogans against immigrants, blacks and Jews ( lol !)
Students from Virgina University tried to bar the manifestation and police had to intervene.

Pedestrians were blocking the view of the cars further up. My guess is that the driver was expecting people to clear a path, and they didn't notice the stopped cars until it was too late and crashed into them.

If your goal was to mow people down you wouldn't kick things off by ramming into stopped cars.

It looks like they hacked their twitter accounts. Which leads me to believe they got into a cache of saved passwords and usernames. Hopefully they don't have access to their email address controlling the paypal.

Which means the antifa claims of having deleted backups and servers may be true.
