Normally I would be. I have seen this movie before, been on both sides of it. But this time the party taking the beating is acting like their shit don't stink. Look at brewster, GCF, et all here they think they can bang on Trump and think that will make up losses for 1000 seats over a decade. They are still cowed by the labels that SJW's throw at them. Evergreen College is the perfect illustration, Brewster is the college President totally bowing asking SJW's for permission to go to the bathroom.doc_loliday wrote:Aren't you guys worried that that this is just a swing, and not some permanent march to the right?

How's that hope and change working out for you? That ain't going to happen, BernBros, not by sitting and waiting for it, government ain't going to hand that one out. You need to primary some asses. Maxine Waters needs a primary challenge, Nancy Pelosi needs to spend some of that money she raises on her own election. And most of all you need to primary people that will win in November but say "fuck it" and instead nominate some uber lefty that will lose to some bland Republican. You have to send the message. So far, I don't even see the first word.Martin Hash wrote:Brew, Liberals, like you & me, are doing fine. It's the Collectivist SJW Left that's taking a beating. When they fall, we'll take over. Re: Who Killed the Left?
My wife made the observation after Friday's Republican meeting that Republican women are thin & attractive while Democratic women are the opposite.
The Dem Party is just a bunch of enemy-of-my-enemy-is-my-friend allies where OWGs are the enemy. The Republican Party seems to have a lack of focus.

Progressivism has been pushed in this country for over a hundred years, their policies have largely proven to be a failure.
- Central Banking and Fiat Currency
- Eugencis
- Nation Building
- Illimination of Govt Corruption
- Prohibition
- mitigating income inequality
With their failures and their policies proven wrong the moved on to pushing insane Social Justice that any normal person would reject.
Then enter Trump, who saw the rotten house and kicked the door in.

'The Left' killed itself- the Progressives have alienated a lot of Classical Liberals that used to be brothers in arms, and have alienated many of the Bernie Bros by refusing to change or accede to their views in any real way. And of course, their actual policies prevent a lot of moderates from voting for them with any real support- when they can bring themselves to vote Democrat with a Progressive running..clubgop wrote:How's that hope and change working out for you? Re: Who Killed the Left?
Bernie exposed the Socialist side of the Democrat party. But Bernie is a giant fraud. There is a huge opening on the left for an actual Socialist. Progressivism has nothing in common with Classic Liberalism.katarn wrote: 'The Left' killed itself- the Progressives have alienated a lot of Classical Liberals that used to be brothers in arms, and have alienated many of the Bernie Bros by refusing to change or accede to their views in any real way. I was trying to say Progressivism had nothing in common with Classic Liberalism; maybe that didn't come out correctly.C-Mag wrote:Bernie exposed the Socialist side of the Democrat party. I agree there is an opening on the left for Socialism, and has been for a while, but I have seen many of those Socialists leaving the party of the left because of the Bernie debacle.

The other factor in the modern failure of the Left, IMO, is who's running it.
The Left is completely driven by Baby Boomers, and not just any Baby Boomers, mostly radical 60s hippy Boomers. I'm not just talking about the Democrat Party either, look at the folks screaming the loudest, organizing and driving AnteeFa, the Trump 'Resistence' and all the protests.

It's boomers running it and the base is the children of boomers (millennials).
The democratic party is, in part, indicative of the cancer that was injected into our nation in the 1960s, first affecting the boomer generation. It's not as potent in the Gen X and Gen Z line, but still present.
I was talking to a high school kid in my neighborhood yesterday who wants to get a commission via ROTC. These children of Gen X are really, really red-pilled, man. They are so far ahead of the game compared to where we were at their age it's crazy.

I keep telling you the secret of SJW/Post-Modernism and you keep trying to assign generational motives.Speaker to Animals wrote:It's boomers running it and the base is the children of boomers (millennials).

Dems are the Party of the-enemy-of-my-enemy-is-my-friend allies, where OWGs are the "enemy." At the extreme end, they're burn-it-all-down-and-see-what-happens types who are under the misimpression that THEY will be the phoenix. But anybody with any self-awareness would know that another group will rise from the ashes and they have guns.
