The immediate effect would be on Naples, Italy and the Mediterranean sea but if the wind was from the West as it usually is then yes Greece and Turkey would be next.

It's regrettable that they have to be thrown into the lava, but it's all right there in the text, highlighted in green (which means direct words from Gaia herself).
