And you blame the left for the condition of the proles?
Was it not the feudal lords who left them landless and the propertied class who ground them down in their factories and coal mines?
Oh that's right, we're living in Dickensian Britain in the middle of the 19th century, what was I thinking?

Oh, wait, hold on, I was right all along, you're totally full of shit, just like every other champagne socialist who invokes a Dickensian Coalface where there isn't in fact one at all.

You're the real opressors here, champagne socialist motherfuckers, to the lampposts with the likes of you, not one tear shed in the wake of it.

Woah... wait a second...

What's with all this rage?

Who wrote this post here...
"My neighbours of property"

You're the one playing the role of hoity toity landed gentry...

Dickensian coalface?

You invoke your own boogeyman wherever you go.

Having grown up amongst the tenants, and then having been a landlord with my own tenants, I simply know them as they actually are, rather than the faux victim lionization of a noble tenant class that isn't and never was.

Where the conditions of the tenants in Canader are even remotely Dickensian at all, is only because of them not owning their own shit, and then shitting where they eat, entirely self inflcited, and wholly enabled by the nanny state.

The landed gentry now, are the homeowning middle classes, their opressors are the champagne socialists of the nanny state to nowhere, and as for the tenants? Can't save people from themselves, don't even try, when they finally get their act together to buy some property, than they too will know who the real opressors in this country are.

The most opressive and crippling thing in play in this province now, for the tenants and owners both, is the spiraling cost of power and heat, being imposed by the champagne socialists and their "Green Energy" programs, nothing the private sector is doing, the devastation of the economy is all emanating from the Legislature on the left...

Let's return to the point here.

The social fabric here in North America is precious thin.

It's thinning on a global scale, but I imagine in Petter's hood there is more sense of community than most of us enjoy.

The right for the most part have a stronger sense of community and want to protect it.

The left tends to be more alienated and don't have this protective instinct, allowing mass immigration and prescribing more bureaucracy to solve every perceived problem.

Get your own line Smitty, I meant champagne socialist as a mild tease and you are over using it with malice.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

It's a proper noun, I'll use it as I please, you don't own the term, the champagne socialists of the Canadian left, are the mother of all champagne socialists, and we the oppressed, do indeed have malice aforethought against them, and make no apologies for it.

We're going to stage an illiberal democratic counterrevolution against them, and then burn their sacred cows to the ground, with maximum malice therein, I assure you.

Using it appropriately where appropriate, when I'm not speaking of nor to champagne socialists, then I won't use it, when I am though, it is entirely appropos.

I disagree that it's appropriate but as I said I can't stop you, Right wing nut job got to be right wing nut job.

Don't try to be the thread police, Monty, DrY is a classic champagne socialist who advocates ceasessly for the formal champagne socialist party in Canada, let him own his shit, he is what he is and that is in fact what he is, I'm not being unfair at all, I am nothing, if not fair.

And you're certinly welcome to call me a right wing nutjob, badge of honour, proud to wear it, making no apologies for it.
