The AI bubble is all about the tools developing their own agency. Which doesn’t appear to be anywhere on the horizon currently. We have a better search engine, and automated image generation - that’s about it.

When that finally crashes, we’ll enter our Great Economic Collapse that’s been postponed for so long. I worry more about my local meat supply than anything to do with AI.

Not just a better search engine and image generation, but also a better Taco Bell drive through service. Having an AI take my order was interesting, it was very clear and to the point.

Not just a better search engine and image generation, but also a better Taco Bell drive through service. Having an AI take my order was interesting, it was very clear and to the point.

Imagine what they can do with the recording of your order. Your vocal identity will eventually be leaked or stolen, and can be mimicked and used for generations.

We’re entering a confluence of crises all at once. All authority is being challenged and undermined. Economic collapse is underway. The nation state is crumbling. The entire history of humanity is being challenged.

It’s a big ass fourth turning, and we cannot currently imagine what it looks like on the other side. We don’t need a sentient AI to destroy everything - it’s merely a new tool that will reshape our reality.
