It will take some decades before the live cores in fukishima become inert if ever. There is a huge amount of risk in operating nuclear plants but luckily there seems to be a large enough group with an adequate portion of hubris to convince gen x that the future won't be radiation strewn.

Studies based on World Health Organisation data and other sources found that globally, about 100 people die for each terawatt-hour of electricity produced by coal, 36 from oil, four from natural gas, 0.44 for rooftop solar and 0.04 from nuclear.

Shame there is no breakdown. I wonder why it specifies''rooftop'' solar too.
Are the figures made up from accidents during mining for panel components or simply people falling off roofs while installing them?
Neither of which are a direct result of the actual production of energy.
Maybe it is poorly installed panels falling off roofs and hitting people.
Could be deaths during the manufacturing process.
