As far I know they don't even have a good reason for why anyone would want to pretend the world is round, even if it was actually flat, they just think everyone is lying because it somehow keeps the proles down if they don't know the earth is really flat, yet they can't explain how anyone would benefit from such a ruse.

It's the ultimate half assed conspiracy theory, the only people who buy into that shit are people who are already prone to buying into ridiculous conspiracy theories.
