I think GCF might be right for some people, but for me (if you consider what I say complaining), it's just a review of his work on the long view. IMO, the newer stuff, both HH and CS, has been less hard-hitting and impactful than what he was doing two or more years ago. It's still Dan and still good, but there's some element of vitality and enthusiasm missing, more in CS than HH, that was there in the old stuff. I discovered this recently while going through some older CS and Death Throes. Listen to the Snowden era CS shows and then the most recent two or three CS shows to see what I mean.

Vitality is the right word, I think, for my criticism of both programs, but a loss of hope isn't too far off from being an adequate supplement to a take on CS.

The Dan Carlin moon's see today is very different from ten years ago. I get that people change over time (I certainly did) , but we admit to it and happily explain why we changed so much. Dan never admitted he even became such an SJW, much less explain why it happened.

I've always said I'm happy for Dan and his family, what he's done is incredible. He created his genre, not many can say that.

Hey, some of its butt hurt. A lot of folks at old DCF actively worked to spread the word on Dan..... in the end it felt like Dan left us, and we were kicked to the curb.


I have this morbid pride over how many old DCFERS claim it was their post or posts that pushed Dan over the edge and turn us out...... how's that for a badge of honor
