Been digging on The Corbett Report and War College podcasts, as of late. Anyone else familiar with either of these?

War college has some interesting stuff, even if I kinda hate their format. Unnecessary previews and faffing about.

It's Baller Friday! Cryptocurrencies mixed. Stocks advance as U.S. dollar retreats. Global order is shaken as POTUS strikes Syria; now many on the Trump Train are acting like SJWs. Reports that POTUS is looking to replace Stephen Bannon & Reince Priebus from admin. Neil Gorsuch confirmed by Senate as Supreme Court Justice (Dems filibuster fail). Russia & Iran condemns Syria attack. POTUS sends message to North Korea with Syria strikes. Ghost opens up the phone lines to hear people's thoughts on the recent world events. Your calls, Twitter/Gab shoutouts and (maybe) Radio Graffiti.

Listened to CorbettReport on and off over the years, not so much in the past year or two, but honestly some of them make me feel like I need to add a few more rolls of foil and and some aluminum heatsinks to my tin foil hat.

I'm waiting for it all to boil down one day to a conspiracy involving Bigfoot working together with the lizard aliens...

Stefan Molyneux, well, he's done a few podcasts I've agreed with, but he certainly comes off with some kind of wierd POV on a lot of things if you listen to enough of his stuff.

congressionaldish.com can be good if you can deal with her obvious liberal bias on certain things... her one on Libya I thought was good.

Congressional Dish is great. I don't mind her liberal bias and appreciate her overall presentation of herself as being authentic. She offers some excellent information when she is breaking down bills.

Molyneux, just something about him the bugs me. I can't really watch his presentations on youtube. I may have to give his audio only a go because he has such a following from people I pay attention to and continually receives high recommendations. His Rogan appearance was a bit awkward.

Now to Corbett, There is a tinfoil hat, conspiratorial feeling to some of his podcasts. But he does provide a lot of new background to the stories he chooses to cover. The origins of Goldman Sachs was an interesting peek into the history of that organization. So I do find some value there even if I don't join him on all of his leaps. I have only recently started to do some research into particular aspects of the covered material that piqued my curiosity. And he does provide links to his source material so there is an effort to maintain some level of transparency.

Thanks for the feedback.

I'd hit Corbett weekly a few years back, but... maybe along the lines of the "Americans don't give a fuck" thread, it just became "overload" after a while. I know things are fucked up, but I can't change it and hearing it all the time isn't useful...

...so now it's spring, hopefully no more frost (CT), so I've got a garden to be planting, and weeding/cleanup to do, and other stuff to get done. As Dan has said on CS, staying saturated in politics is "their" job, but only a part-time gig for most of us.

I'm loving the Rubin Report. I'm finding that I see as eye to eye with him and most of his guests as I do with Dan Carlin.

I've also turned into a Bolelli-follower 100%. Obviously History on Fire is awesome but I'm really enjoying his views on The Drunken Taoist as well

RadioLab: Ponzi Supernova

Holy cow, direct prison interview with Bernie Madoff. That is one sick dude.

Also, I had no idea he was once chairman of the NASDAQ.

EDIT: It occurs to me, that what he was doing was no different than a bank that got run on in the 2008 crisis. Taking money from investors, and handing it to others...

Pretty good.

https://verybadwizards.fireside.fm/about
Very Bad Wizards is a collaboration between Tamler Sommers, a philosopher at the University of Houston, and David Pizarro, a psychologist at Cornell University. We first met at a conference on ethics a few years ago, and have been arguing (and occasionally agreeing) about morality ever since. At some point we realized that our conversations were entertaining (and crazy) enough that other people might enjoy eavesdropping. With that in mind we began recording a series of podcasts to give them a proper home.

This could be interesting.

https://www.earhustlesq.com/

Ear Hustle brings you stories of life inside prison, shared and produced by those living it. The podcast is a partnership between Earlonne Woods and Antwan Williams, currently incarcerated at San Quentin State Prison, and Nigel Poor, a Bay Area artist. The team works in San Quentin’s media lab to produce stories that are sometimes difficult, often funny and always honest, offering a nuanced view of people living within the American prison system.
